Cash

The funny things you'll do to keep your mind off of the important things! I've been having a really hard time with this wait. So, I adopted a goat. He's a little, black pygmy named Cash (the man in black). Little Cash was a bottle baby and thinks he's a person. So he goes to goat daycare during the day and comes home and lives in the house at night. He also follows me around the farm when I'm working. He's very good about going potty in his crate. He doodles (little raisins) but doesn't pee. He waits for me to take him out like a dog and he goes outside.
I've been wanting to get another pygmy buck since I lost Blu in the fall. It was just never the right time and/or I couldn't find a black boy. So, last Tuesday, I made a call and there he was!
He's spoiled! He'll be a little wether so we won't use him for breeding and eventually he'll go live with the other goats. He'll stay as long as I need him to, then he'll go to the farm.
As for the adoption, I received an email this morning that our dossier has been registered. This is great news because there have been rumors of new IAD rules that Vietnam won't register anymore without a referral. Since we don't have a referral, that would mean our paperwork would expire. We're registered so it won't or shouldn't or it just depends on the day, it might. We'll deal with that if it happens. We're still being told 4-6 months and we're praying for the 4 months. That would mean October for us. This is just so much harder than I expected.
Travel to get the baby could be up to five months. So the sooner we get our referral the better.
ORPHANED CHILD
All children come from God,
for some the journey home
just takes a little longer.
