Adoption Update

We finally have an update on where we are in the process. Here it is! Ready??

We're closer than we were before.

That's about all we know. We are getting closer and moving up on the list. We should, should have our referral by December 15, which is six months. Of course we always hope for sooner but we don't want to be disappointed. So, we're looking to the six months and if it happens sooner, great!

And travel after referral is about 3 1/2 months. We get our referral and then about two months later we really start to prepare our paperwork and stuff to get ready to go. We will be in Vietnam for about 2 1/2 weeks.

While this doesn't seem like much of an update, it is. Any tidbit is HUGE to us. We're closer and closer everyday. At this point, we're so close that its possible that our agency knows who Baby Nam is but is unable to reveal that info to us until medicals and clearances are done.

Please continue to pray for Baby Nam. By now Baby is born and waiting for us. Somewhere in Vietnam, RIGHT NOW, there is a baby waiting for US!!!! Who will Baby be? What will Baby Nam look like? Will baby be chubby or tiny, short or long? Hair?? Will Baby have a full head of hair or be bald like Daddy?

Only if you've been here can you understand the wonder of the love for a child yet known, the pain of the long journey to that child, and the yearning to know anything you can grasp onto to make it real.

This is just one more exciting day that God has given us during this miracle of adoption!!! And we are praising him for it!
