We're going to take a ride on the adoption rollercoaster--the Sooper Dooper Disappointment Looper. Remember, we can't get off until the baby comes home.
We are now beginning the eighth month of our 4-6 month wait. Since we are number one on "the list," we were hoping our referral was right around the corner. But we were just told that it will be at least another month, realistically, longer.
That means that we won't bring our baby home before August, assuming the referral comes in April. And assuming that travel comes at four months.
We are beginning to wonder if we'll have our baby home for Christmas. We were hoping for last Christmas, January, February, Easter, late Spring, beginning of summer.
This is an ugly post, isn't it? Perhaps winter is getting to me or maybe I'm just tired of hearing "next month."

I know the feeling, we're number 9.....at least your at number 1! Seriously, your so close, so so close!
I am really not the one to be saying this seeing as I am the most impatient person in the world but...hang in there, she's there somewhere and soon she has to come to you!!!! You are sitting at the BEST spot possible. We are #5 so you are right in there.
