Lots of stuff happening here at the Schoff's. Where should I start??
Things are going well with the remodeling project. Seems like we think we're getting there and we decided to change something else while we're at it. At this point, we have to paint the kitchen and bathroom, I have to take the wallpaper down in the hall, the lights need to be installed, and we're waiting for the new wood floor. Its exciting to see everything come together.
We have five goat kids. The last kid was born on Good Friday. She's tiny. I call her peanut. I know, I shouldn't name them. We won't be keeping any of the babies. Three goats are pygmies and two are boer/nubians. The boer/nubian kids will be meat goats. Their names are Fried and BBQ. Ahhhh.....come on! They're meat goats!
We have adoptions news too!! We have decided to adopt from Vietnam instead of China. China is slowing down for several reasons. That means that it will take us close to two years to get our baby. That seems like a really long time to us.
Vietnam means HUGE changes for us. The big difference is that we will be home with Delaney before Christmas--THIS YEAR! We were ready for at least a year wait and now it will be much sooner! So we are trying to get our paperwork finished and I'm scrambling trying to figure out what I'm going to need. We could get our referral and have Delaney in six months!
The other great thing about Vietnam is that we can get a much younger baby. She could be three months old when we bring her home.
We're very excited. I'll keep posting updates! I'll also add some picts of the kids soon!
